This is Whisper. She is an independent lass who loves the great outdoors - though doesn't tend to go far - and especially enjoys sunbathing. Although she is getting older, she still very much has a mischievous streak and likes to play. She enjoys cuddles but, like many older cats, prefers them on her terms (though she quite often forgets herself and breaks into a big old purr!). She is quite talkative - especially when it gets close to breakfast or dinner time (just in case you forget to feed her!).
The reason that we are so desperate to find a home for Whisper so quickly is that she is severely phobic - completely petrified - of other cats and dogs. So SHUA isn't exactly the ideal place for her! Most cats, even those who would rather a home without other felines, seem to understand our purpose here and that their being here is only temporary and so manage to "put up" with the other cats. Only very occasionally do you get a cat like Whisper who simply cannot cope with so many other cats around. It really stresses her out - which is not fair on her and does her no good.
So this really is a special appeal for Whisper. She has lots of love to give and promises to be no trouble at all - on the contrary she will provide faithful companionship in exchange for a stable home with a firm commitment to allowing her to be the only furry pet in the household (well, cats and dogs anyway - we're sure that Whisper wouldn't mind a hamster or gerbil for company ... )
