Mookie turned up on a doorstep in Penarth in the middle of June. She was terribly thin and had a very nasty wound on her tail, possibly the result of a road traffic accident. The kindly couple who lived at the property, Gemma and Paul, took Mookie in and immediately got her the veterinary treatment she needed.

Although Gemma and Paul could not keep Mookie, they offered to foster her until we could find her a forever home and so she has been living with them. Mookie was very grateful to be taken in and would greedily gobble down any food she was given - not minding what flavour, just grateful to be fed. She is still very easy to feed. She is now back to a healthy weight and her tail has almost completely healed.

Mookie is your typical 1 year old kitten. She loves playing with her toys and especially loves a good wrestling match. In the absence of a feline wrestling partner, she does what any other happy, confident kittie would - happily play-fight with you! She doesn't put her claws out and her nips never hurt. It's all good fun.

Mookie is a happy, healthy, confident and independent kitten. She does have a little quirk in that she loves to chase a ball around the garden - more like a dog than a cat! She also loves sunbathing and when she isn't outside, can often be found sprawled out on a bean bag in the conservatory.

She is a very clean little cat and spends many hours keeping her coat in tip-top condition. She hasn't once wandered further than the back garden and will come running back inside at the sound of a fork on the side of a can - dinner time! She certainly is ruled by her stomach!

Mookie is looking for a home with a family who will have lots of time to play with her and cuddle her. She is a very loving, friendly little soul who would suit a quiet or a busy household. She is not phased by toddlers and will quite happily let them stroke her. However, we do think that she would be better suited to a house without other cats.
