Tan is welsh for fire. Sam-Tan came from a feral litter in Grangetown. His mum was trying to move all of her kittens to a safer location but Sam-Tan got lost in the process. A kind lady took him in & contacted SHUA for assistance. They agreed that the lady would take him to them after work. She settled Sam-Tan into her bathroom & left for work...but when she returned she couldn't find him anywhere! She could hear him crying and it became clear that he had found a hole & managed to get underneath the floorboards!
She called SHUA and they contacted the local fire brigade who then had to take up more of the floorboards and use a special camera to locate 5 week old Sam-Tan.
His story made the Echo later that week. Sam-Tan has now been rehomed.
