Flixy was found straying in Cardiff in Aug 06. Shortly after she was picked up, she suddenly went blind. When our vets checked her over, they found that she had very high blood pressure - which can cause very sudden blindness. Quite why her blood pressure was so high, however, remained a mystery.
Our vets immediately put Flixy on medication to try to bring the blood pressure back down to more normal levels. Flixy had good days and bad days but for some time seemed to be doing ok overall. However, in the October, she became very poorly and the vets said that there was nothing more that they could do for her. We couldn't bear to see her suffer and so Flixy was euthanased. She died purring in Jacqui's arms. She was a very special, quiet little soul and we all miss her.
