Bjork came to SHUA after she was found chomping on frozen chicken carcasses in the food shop Iceland. She had fallen through a false ceiling, landed in one of the freezers and evidently decided to make the best of the situation!! Not bad for a frail looking cat estimated to be 18+ years old!
Bjork lived happily at SHUA for several years, living with our other "silly old sods", spending most of her time sunbathing in the conservatory. Bjork was the second oldest feline at SHUA - with Pepsi being the oldest.
Bjork had lots of extra claws - she had 2 dew claws on all 4 legs as well as extra claws on each paw!
In Dec 06, Bjork was adopted by one of our volunteers. For an old cat who had sat around not doing much, Bjork sure did make up for lost time: she explored the new house, stole everyone's food (canine, feline and human!) and enjoyed lots and lots of cuddles. But sadly, Bjork's time was drawing to a close. She became very ill one morning and went downhill rapidly overnight. She was put to sleep on the 21st of December, purring in Petra's arms.
